Measures of Australia’s Progress (MAP) addresses the question, 'Is life in Australia getting better?'. MAP aligns key information with hopes and aspirations of Australians. It provides summary progress measures of areas of life that Australians told us were important for national progress across our society, economy, environment and governance. MAP advances the cause of measuring social progress and is at the vanguard of international progress measurement activity. This presentation provides an overview of the comprehensive consultation and refresh of MAP conducted during 2011-2013, and presents the new findings from this world-leading, ABS flagship series.
