- Number-raised estimates of activity undertaken throughout the year, and levels of stock etc. held on farm at 30 June, including estimates of population participation by commodity.
- 7113.0 Agriculture, Australia
Covers the structure of the Australian farming sector and includes details of land use, crop and horticultural activity, and livestock numbers. Also includes summary data relating to the financial activity of farm businesses.
- 7111.0 Principal Agricultural Commodities, Australia, Preliminary
Preliminary statistics on area and production of principal cereals for grain; area intended to be sown to barley, oats and wheat for all purposes; livestock numbers, lambing and intended matings.
- 7121.0 Agricultural Commodities, Australia
Presents final estimates of production for all commodities collected in the Agricultural Commodity Survey. These include broadacre crops, fruit and vegetables as well as the number of livestock and livestock products. Also includes details of industry structure including counts of farms by ANZSIC and size (physical and economic).

What consideration has been given to making data item definitions consistent between repeats of this survey or across other surveys? (D3)
- The Agricultural Census will now be collected approximately once every five years, with the Agricultural Commodity Survey being run in other years.
The scope of the Agricultural Census/Survey has remained consistent over the past decade with the cut off for the Estimated Value of Agricultural Operations (EVAO) set at $5,000 and over.
1993-94 onwards | Change in EVAO level to $5,000 and over. |

1986-87 | Change in EVAO level to $20,000 and over. |
1982-83 | Change in EVAO level to $2,500 and over. |
Prior to this, EVAO level was $1,500 and over
Estimates of production from the Agricultural Survey (AS) are used to derive Value of Agricultural Commodities Produced (VACP) data. Slaughtering statistics are not directly comparable with herd size data collected in the AS due to the difference in scope of each of the collections.
