Australian Statistical Seminar Series
The National Statistical Service (NSS) Seminars has been renamed to the Australian Statistical Seminar Series.
The new seminar series supports the ABS's vision of ‘unleashing the power of statistics for a better Australia’ where partners collaborate to build a responsive national statistical system that meets current and future requirements, with a theme of transformation.
The ABS will host a series of seminars each year (four to six). These seminars will promote the activities and achievements of key players within Australia's statistical system in order to fully realise the value of statistics and the potential of a dynamic data environment. The seminars will cover a range of topics which will be of interest to all government, business and the community on how the environment is transforming in the statistical system with regard to statistical production, management and use.
The seminars are aimed at audiences of non-statistical background and aim to build understanding of the power of data and statistics to inform decision making via interactive, participatory presentations.
If you would like further information about these upcoming seminars, subscribe to NSS News by sending an e-mail to email@example.com. Presentations and videos will be available from the NSS website after the seminar.
All Seminars will be held in the Knibbs Auditorium, Ground Floor, ABS House, 45 Benjamin Way, Belconnen ACT.
