Australian Community Indicators Network
Seminar 3
State and Territory Round up of Community Indicators Initiatives
9 May 2012

Abstract:
This seminar includes presentations about various community indicator projects existing across Australia.
Each presenter provides details of their community indicator projects by addressing the following five questions:
i. What are the most important/interesting community indicator projects in the state/territory
(community, local government, regional/state level) and/or closely related indicator projects (i.e. not necessarily described as community indicator projects)?
ii. How are citizens being engaged in these indicator projects, if at all?
iii. Is any organisation coordinating the development/promotion of CI's (especially local government level)?
iv. How are community indicators being used or applied in practice (policy, planning, evaluation etc)?
v. Overall how does the presenter assess the current development/future prospects for CI's in their state?
