Statistical Leadership Initiative Abstract: Ed Rogers has spent over 8 years implementing a simple yet profound approach to knowledge management (KM) in what is ostensibly one of the most complex, highly visible and technologically challenging organizational environments. His story is not one of grand plans for manipulating the lives of others through data collection schemes. Rather he has spent his years at NASA helping smart people learn better from their experiences and working along side them developed simple practices that help make the organization smarter and more collaborative. “KM is not rocket science” though it can be effectively done even by very busy and very bright rocket scientists and engineers. Dr. Rogers will share his adventures with NASA and what he has learned along the way about implementing KM programs within the government environment. Speaker: Ed Rogers, Chief Knowledge Officer, National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), USA.
