Project descriptionThe Measuring Educational Outcomes over the Life-course data integration project is being led by the ABS to facilitate improved understanding of learning pathways from early childhood education and schooling through to further education and employment. This study involves the integration of a range of datasets including the National Early Childhood Education and Care Collection, school enrolments, National Assessment Program - Literacy and Numeracy (NAPLAN), and Census of Population and Housing data.

The aim of this study is to assess the feasibility of linkage of the datasets and to produce analysis that assess the impact of personal, family, social, and economic characteristics on school achievement over time. Ultimately, this study aims to provide the foundations for evidence based decision making for improved educational outcomes.
